Thanks for your concerning message on my profile about the Firefox Myths.
Well, as far as I can tell, I'm still not planning killing any president of any
outstanding nation and to secretly post it on my blog or on Pownce. See, I'm
nothing less than a 25 year old girl who only fools around the net, and if I
ever wanted to make an online transaction, a bank account transferring or
something else that involves security issues, I surely would be worried about
any info leaks on FF, but I do not! Anyway, thanks for outstanding some
interesting points ;).
It doesn't bother me at all, as you can see I use both Firefox and Opera
regularly and on the odd occasion Internet Explorer (usually checking web
designs). But still I prefer Firefox because the extensions and user interface I
like a lot more than the other two.
So I'm not sure why your trying to convince me to use something other than
Firefox, it's not like I've never tried the other two. Also most of these myths
I had never heard of and always knew otherwise.
As for some of the points like "Opera supports Extensions in Opera 9
known as Widgets" last I checked Opera 9's widgets aren't anything like
extensions, they get in the way of browsing more than they help and I'm yet to
come across a single useful one.
If there's one major reason to support Firefox over Opera and Internet
Explorer it's because it's open source (so they're giving code back to the
community) and using it helps their project as they get funding from a
partnership with Google amongst other things. Despite what that page tries to
make you believe in a quick glance the majority of the project is in fact open
source and the author of that particular page is being irrational in bringing up
the fact that a trademark isn't open source.
Yeah i use Opera on my linux system over firefox, me and firefoz just dont
get on :) As for ie7, how did the RAM reach that high? Just this webpage as it
is reaches 38mb. :) I do prefer ie7 over opera, safari (Windows version) and
firefox. :) opera is a close second
Might I ask, why all the hate for Firefox? It's much better than Internet
Explorer in every way I can think of: rendering, scripting, interface, features,
stability.
"Lame brower ....he dont know full scripts ... full sites bugs with
them", might I ask what this means? It sounds like to me you've found a
site that works in Opera and Internet Explorer but not Firefox, this would be
very rare and the only one to blame is the programmer for not testing it and not
keeping to standards.
Firefox is better IMHO, besides it makes my job easier (Web Developer).
Without it I'd be back to the old way of debugging Javascript, don't get me
wrong though, Opera is good; it's faster and seems more stable, but Firefoxs
extensions and its license (Open Source) make it my choice for a main browser.
Also I prefer the Gecko rendering engine to Operas at times.

Ya unless you're smart enough to tweak your FF to use 0MB or RAM. =D

You should be shot.
