<text>Great game overall, and the fun factor is off the charts. The only thing that irks me is the removal of base building. To me, it's so satisfying to build up a giant war machine in your base, and the proceed to use it to crush the other player's base. To some, however, I expect that to be a turn on to the game. The forced team play aspect (especially in multiplayer) is phenomenal.</text>

World in Conflict is a real-time tactical video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Sierra Entertainment for Windows PCs and the Xbox 360. The game is set in 1989 where economic troubles cripple the Soviet Union and threaten to dissolve it. However, the title pursues a 'what if' scenario where the Soviet Union does not collapse and instead pursues a course of war to remain in power.

Garry's Mod or Gmod is a modification for the Source engine. It is a physics sandbox game that allows the player to manipulate objects and experiment with physics. There are loads of custom addons and maps wich makes the game even more fun!

Garry's Mod requires the user to own one Source engine based game (games including Source SDK), such as Half-Life 2, CS:S or Team Fortress 2, and that the Source game has been used at least once. This ensures that the necessary program files are provided to Garry's Mod. The game can be bought in a pack over Steam bundled with other Source games.

HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy to use offline browser utility.

It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure. Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system.
WinHTTrack is the Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP release of HTTrack, and WebHTTrack the Linux/Unix/BSD release.

Boxee is a media center application that is being developed by a small startup company. Boxee supports a wide range of multimedia formats and includes features such as playlists, audio visualizations, slideshows, weather forecasts reporting, and an expanding array of third-party plugins. As a media center, Boxee can play most audio and video file formats, as well as display images from many sources, including CD/DVD-ROM drives, USB flash drives, the Internet, and local area network shares.

Through its Python plugin system, Boxee includes features such as YouTube and Apple movie trailer support, SHOUTcast, and Podcast streaming, as well as online picture viewing of such services such as Flickr and Picasa.

Through the processing power of modern PC hardware, Boxee is able to decode high-definition video up to 1080p, however as Boxee does not currently support hardware video decoding it is placing the entire load of the video decoding process on the system's CPU which means that users need by today's standards a very powerful CPU to decode native 1080p videos encoded with the H.264 codec.

Boxee source code is based upon XBMC which it uses as its framework, and the Boxee developers contribute source code back upstream to the XBMC project[12][13]. Boxee is distributed under the GNU General Public License (with a few libraries used by Boxee licensed under the LGPL). Boxee's social networking layer library, libboxee, is however closed source as it deals with proprietary methods of communication with Boxee's online back-end server which handles the user account information and social network communications between the users in the Boxee userbase.

<text>Great application for connecting with your gamer peers. Xfire does well in many areas (aggregation of gaming related media and tracking), it does fall short on some basic things. The chat feature is very bland, and the bundled sounds are plain annoying. In addition, if you're of a minimalist nature, you'll despise the interface.

Good things though, there are third party skins and sounds that will definitely patch those issues up.</text>

<text>Your data is stored in the cloud with accessibility from almost every platform you can think of (iPhone, Windows, OSX, Web). Many varied uses for Evernote include maintaining to-do lists, clipping articles to read later, and storing snippets of things that you think will benefit you later.

On the Windows client, the interface seems a bit off, and you need to do a lot of extra clicking to format your notes, but with the pending alpha version, SOME of the problems have been relieved. The iPhone interface, however, is great.

It really is an external brain.</text>

Portal is a single-player first-person action/puzzle video game developed by the Valve Corporation. The game was released in the bundle package The Orange Box.

The game consists primarily of a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and other simple objects using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device ("Portal Gun" for short), a unit that can create an inter-spatial portal between flat planes. The player character is challenged by an AI named "GLaDOS" to complete each puzzle in the "Aperture Science Enrichment Center" using the Portal Gun with the promise of receiving cake when all the puzzles are completed. The unusual physics allowed by the portal gun are the emphasis of this game, and is an extension of a similar portal concept in Narbacular Drop; many of the team from the DigiPen Institute of Technology that worked on Narbacular Drop were hired by Valve for the creation of Portal.

<text>Despite it becoming more popular, the quality of the community has gone down drastically since YouTube's acquisition by Google. Now, everything is monetized and you have inline video ads shoved down your throat.

In addition, the UX changes to a more blocky look and feel on the site present a more standardized and un-inviting atmosphere. Everything is either white, grey, blue, or yellow and it doesn't evoke creativity like Vimeo does.

This site was once a great hub of original content, old media content (music videos), and amusing quips of people's lives. Now, large companies have taken over the site.

Now, a video is judged by views more than creativity and genuinely original(hence why Fred became popular).</text>
