I picked Twhirl because it was featured on the Twitter downloads page. I quickly found out why. Twhirl is very easy to use and comes loaded with more features than I had expected. It is very smart in the way it downloads files (if you watch this download about 20 files at once, you'll see what I mean) however, the interface can be annoying at times and conflict with downloading some files.
