Met Appie hebben klanten altijd hun boodschappenlijstje bij zich. Eerdere aankopen, bonusaanbiedingen en andere boodschappen kunnen gemakkelijk op de lijst worden gezet. Ook geeft Appie toegang tot meer dan 8.000 recepten. Albert Heijn maakt Appie in het komende jaar ook beschikbaar via andere smartphones en via internet. Boodschappenlijst Al zolang er boodschappen gedaan worden, maken mensen boodschappenlijstjes. ‘Wat eten we vandaag?’ en ‘Wat is er in de aanbieding?’ zijn vragen die elke dag weer naar boven komen. Appie helpt klanten bij het maken van een boodschappenlijst. Bij het intikken van de eerste letters van de boodschap herkent Appie het gewenste product. Aankopen uit het verleden kunnen aan de hand van het AH Bonuskaartnummer snel aan het boodschappenlijstje worden toegevoegd. Dit geldt ook voor de wekelijkse Bonusaanbiedingen en de nieuwste producten uit het assortiment. Ook biedt Appie volop inspiratie met meer dan 8.000 lekkere recepten uit AllerHande en receptkaarten. Allemaal gemaakt en getest door culinaire specialisten. De ingrediënten in het recept worden snel toegevoegd aan de boodschappenlijst en favoriete recepten kunnen gemakkelijk worden bewaard. Het recept kan op de iPhone in ‘kookstand’ worden gezet zodat de tekst vergroot wordt en hierdoor duidelijk leesbaar is tijdens het koken. Snelle uitbreiding Albert Heijn gaat Appie de komende tijd uitbreiden met handige nieuwe functies. In de tweede iPhone versie kan Appie bijvoorbeeld het boodschappenlijstje in de volgorde van de winkel zetten waar de klant zijn boodschappen doet.
