SenseMaker™ is one of the few software systems to be built on basis of natural rather than management science. It is designed to augment rather than replace human decision making.

SenseMaker™ is supported by the open source Cognitive Edge methods and the unique Cognitive Edge Network of consultants, academics and other practitioners across the world. It has the ability to form a bridge between formal structured systems in an organisation and the free tagging of social computing. It enables serendipitous un-biased encounters with data in the context of need.

As such it has general utility and complements existing systems in most organisations.

<text>Interesting, and cool in terms of being able to 'read' questions, and the way it serves data. The back-end is the 'mechanical turk of the semantic web' imho, as it relies on lots of manual work and curating.</text>

A program that allows you to import, organize, and retouch your photos. Included as part of the iLife suite.

iPhoto is designed to allow easy importing from digital cameras, scanners, picture CDs and the internet. Almost all digital cameras work without additional software, as do many scanners. iPhoto supports most common image file formats.

Once photos are imported, they can be optionally titled, labeled, sorted and organized into groups (known as "events"). Individual photos can be edited with basic image manipulation tools, such as a red-eye filter, contrast and brightness adjustments, crop and resize and other basic functions.

Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. It was one of the earliest Web 2.0 applications. In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository. Its popularity has been fueled by its organization tools, which allow photos to be tagged and browsed by folksonomic means.

Gmail, officially Google Mail in Germany and the United Kingdom, is a free POP3 and IMAP webmail service provided by Google. On April 1, 2004 the product began as an invitation-only beta release. On February 7, 2007 the beta version was opened to the general public. With an initial storage capacity of 1 GB (and growing, now over 7 GB), it drastically increased the standard for free storage.
Today it's also possible to visit the site trough: http://www.gmail.com, although it redirects still to mail.google.com

It also can be used as a SaaS-webmail for your domain with help of Google Apps.

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.

In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.

To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.

Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.

Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.
