Gameplay has been improved for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, with key additions as an improved Teamvision system, tactics change according to situation, better of the ball fluency AI recognizing strategies that works accumulating data on an ongoing basis within Master League and League modes. Another new addition is the readjustments for ball movements. PES 2009 has new air resistance calculations for the trajectory of the ball. There will also be new friction routines to affect ball movement in terms of ground conditions, backspin routines are calculated so that ball slows accordingly, and the bounce of the ball can be used more effectively: players can flick the ball up to tee a shot, or to lift it over a defender's trailing leg. Skills are now integrated more into the game. If a player has the ability, they will be able to perform skilful turns. There will also be adjusted controls to make close control more intuitive. All new Manual Passing and there is no slowdown in replays or matches. PES 2009 will also feature a new game mode called 'Become A Legend', much like EA Sports FIFA Series Be a Pro mode where you will take control of a chosen player throughout his career.

FIFA 10 is packed with more authentic gameplay features, including a more realistic system for mastering long distance shots. You can also now fight for balls in the air with heading, avoid sliding tackles and enjoy quick throw-ins, free kicks and corners. More intelligent teammates have better passing and crossing skills. And details like new lighting, untucked shirts and improved net animations all combine to make the game even more realistic...."

Football Manager 2009 (abbreviated to Football Manager 09 or FM09) is a football manager simulation video game.

The main new feature to the game is the 3D match engine. This can now be watched fullscreen, with a widescreen option available. Other features include being able to play as a female or male manager, improvements to the interaction between the manager and his assistant manager, improved mid-match team talks and tactics, training players to have preferred moves and transfer rumours. The player rating will have a decimal point, eg. 6.8 or 8.3 instead of 7 or 8. There will also be press conferences, where you can build up a rapport with the journalists, and the finance and transfer systems have been completely reworked. The game is set to feature more players than ever before, with over 350,000 in the database at the time of the game's announcement. Many of the new features were tested using a Football Manager Live beta. The PC version has a skin similar to the one used in Football Manager 2008.
