<text>Not bad for a free product. Very slow on most systems, though. Only my newest, most powerful computer handles it without much strain. Just switched to Avast Home Edition (also free for personal, non-commercial use) and love the performance gain and additional features it includes. AVG is nice, but the 2009 version of Avast is even better.</text>

<text>Remove the stupid U3 software Sandisk loads onto all of its Cruzer USB flash drives. It's kind of a pain to use, because you have to launch it, send it to the background, and make sure every other application and file on the disk is closed (including the U3 launchpad used to launch the uninstaller). Otherwise, the software complains that files are in use and it exits without any help in determining what might be causing the problem. I find &quot;Unlocker&quot; (a separate utility) to be a great utility to help force open files closed in this situation.</text>

<text>Version 1.0 has lots of details but a terrible interface. A new version 1.5 is available for download with a new installer. I will try that out and see if the user interface is improved at all. The UI is really the main thing bad about this program. That and you actually have to know a bit about astrology to make sense of it. This is not the same thing as the typical horoscopes you will find in your daily newspaper or web portal.</text>

      <description>Description from http://www.astrowin.org/astro123.php:
Astro123 combines the following programs into one convenient, easy-to-use program: N_Interp (for natal chart analysis), MEandYOU (for understanding composite chart meanings), YOUandME (for understanding synastry chart meanings), Transits (for transit interpretations - includes a new transit report for up to 366 days of transits), and Keywords (for helping you become better at astrological analysis in general). Astro123 also does all the calculations for relationships such as composite charts, synastry, dual cosmodynes, bi-wheels, etc. This is the program I now use most of the time. This version has the latest dual cosmodyne algorithms for relationship compatibility analysis.</description>

<text>Several of the Digiprizes are just for tweens and teens (Hannah Montana, Kim Possible, HSM2), lovers of classic Disney cartoons (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc.) and Pixar (Ratatouille, Incredibles, etc.) will find some enjoyment. The clocks are pretty nice, the bobbles are silly, and the snow globes are somewhat in between. Given that they are free, they are worth far more than you pay for them. :-)</text>

<description>During February 2008, Disney released a daily &quot;Digiprize&quot; to everyone who entered their Dreams Come True sweepstakes (http://disney.go.com/dreams). Each of the 29 Digiprizes featured a well-known Disney character or franchise. Prizes included multiple clocks, bobble heads, and snow globes, as well as unique items like swinging spheres, to-do list maker, calculator, print-o-matic, and a calendar. Each prize is a Flash-based widget that sits on your desktop.</description>

<text>This is malware for many people; good for some. I consider any application that foists itself upon users without their desire to explicitly install it to be malware. Malware being something undesirable (didn't deliberately install it), damaging to the computer (steals processor cycles and memory), and/or a privacy threat. Shame on Apple for sneaking this into product updates. The next update should include an option to safely remove the software if the user doesn't want it.</text>

<text>Too expensive to upgrade; love it anyway. This is the most expensive program suite I've ever purchased and then paid again to upgrade at least twice. It's that good. However, I haven't upgraded since the original Creative Suite version (about 3 versions ago), and I read that it's only gotten better. Despite what others say, the Gimp--or any other program like this--is not a low-cost Photoshop. It's more like true love, because once you experience it, nothing else will ever measure up. I wish that Gimp or even Corel would catch up, because Adobe needs some competition to lower prices (US$129.99 would be fair for new buyers of the suite, with $39.99 upgrades).</text>

<text>Like many Microsoft products, it's not bad, but not great either. It's pretty much what I would expect FrontPage 2000 would be like two versions later. Then again, that's essentially what it is (timewise without an intervening version in reality). It's capable of remaining mostly standards compliant. It's CSS editor is pretty good. It's WYSIWYG editing is not bad either. It does occasionally lock up and lose your work, and it has problems with UTF8 according to the W3C HTML validator. Since it came included in my version of Office and did not have to pay separately for it, I feel it's well worth the (free) price, but I wouldn't pay more than about $9.99 for it if I had to pay for it (on a scale of $39.99 being a really good app, $99.99 for an outstanding one).</text>
