Wired News is an online technology news website, formerly known as HotWired, that split off from Wired magazine when the magazine was purchased by Condé Nast Publishing in the 1990s. Condé Nast purchased Wired News on 11 July 2006. Competition from competing sites like the Drudge Report and The Political Simpleton were slightly decreased after the 2006 purchase due to the increase in advertising revenue.

Before the 2006 purchase, Wired News was owned by Lycos.

Hot-babe is a small graphical utility which displays the system activity in a very special way. When the CPU is idle, it displays a dressed girl, and when the activity goes up, as the temperature increases, the girl begins to undress, to finish totally naked when the system activity reaches 100%. Of course, if you can be shocked by nudity, don't use it!

You can use this tool for example to check your servers system activity. You'll immediately recognize if your servers system activity is continuously to high.

Hot-babe Win32 is a port for Windows 2000/XP of the original hot-babe. The original implementation for unix and linux can be found at dindinx.net.

Thanks to dindinx.net for such a nice tool!

News: Version 0.3.0 released with new options! Check the change log for details.

WORKS ON ALL EDITIONS OF 7/R2!

NOT FOR VISTA/ORIGINAL SERVER 2008!!!!

IMPROVEMENTS SINCE 1.0:
renames slmgr on x64 aswell
Permenantly passes WGA
Works on unicode systems
silent mode with /s switch
UI tweaked slightly
No reboot neccessary

This is a little tool I put together to remove WAT (Windows Activation Technologies) completely from the OS, whilst still retaining genuine status and receiving all updates (optional aswell). You can also pass the genuine check in things like Windows Defender.

There will be no windows activation section in control panel (thanks to nononsence)

no slmgr

no nags, no prompts, nothing. WAT gone.

IMPORTANT NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS IN ARCHIVE!

In theory this should have a 100% success rate on all machines.

Silent switch only for $OEM$!

PeerBlock is a new version (aka a "fork") of the popular Peer Guardian 2 software. It blocks "known bad" computers from accessing yours, for example governments, corporate entities, and those flagged for anti-p2p activities. Peer Block maintains the functionality of the original Peer Guardian 2 program, but includes fixes for various issues that remain unaddressed in the latest (~2 year old) version of PG2
