The graphics are fantastic, the gameplay is extremely involved. Things are a little more confusing since your ships don't stay in formations, but it's an integral part of other controls.

Homeworld 2 is a real-time strategy (RTS) computer game, the sequel to Relic Entertainment's Homeworld from 1999. It takes place after the events in Homeworld, and concerns Hiigara's response to a new threat, known simply as the Vaygr. It features enhanced graphics and new audio, and its gameplay takes a new direction: Vaygr and Hiigaran ships differ significantly in design and application, in contrast to the closely equivalent Kushan and Taiidan forces of the original game. It's also significant in that it endorses Community mods and has a system to integrate them.

22183 0 This would be more enjoyable if the graphics weren't horrid. The original Homeworld had much better visuals in many things (explosions notably). The gameplay is good since there's a lot of added dimension over the original game. Useless/redundant ships from the original didn't carry onto Cataclysm, but were replaced by more specialized ships that can be used for special use. Yeah you won't make an assault force with any of them, but that's not the point. Definitely not as good as Homeworld2, but I think this has more improvement than disappointements over the original. (if you don't count the story...lol)
