When your in the settings screen and press enter (to confirm a typed in value) the encoder automatically closes the settings screen. 2. The encoder remembers the last saved location... but it only does that when it feels like doing so most of the times it reverts to one of the first projects I exported! Like it way better then FCP because this timeline reads non native video files way faster! But even then Vegas is even faster.
