I know it´s bloated, but nothing comes close to integrating Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks in a productive way. The Google ecosystem (Gmail - Calendar with Gears) is coming close but it´s not there yet. If all you´re doing though is email, then you should definitely use something else.
