<text>I'm moving to empathy from pidgin. It's pretty basic now, not that stable, but it looks promising. I like to see the Video Call and Audio Call for my google talk contacts.</text>

Empathy consists of a rich set of reusable instant messaging widgets, and a GNOME client using those widgets. It uses Telepathy and Nokia's Mission Control, and reuses Gossip's UI. The main goal is to permit desktop integration by providing libempathy and libempathy-gtk libraries. libempathy-gtk is a set of powerful widgets that can be embeded into any GNOME application.

This packet contains the empathy IM application and account manager.

<text>Version 1.4 is indispensable for me. MySQL support for large collections is a must. Support for iPod, including stars and play count and it's way faster to synchronize than with iTunes. You can add scripts to transcode almost anything before you load it to the iPod.

I hate version 2.</text>

Amarok is the music player for Linux and Unix now being ported to Windows and MacOS too, with an intuitive interface. Amarok makes playing the music you love easier than ever before - and looks good doing it.

Its superb interface makes managing your music very easy so that nothing comes in between you and your music.

Also a large number of plugins (like song lyrics, song as status in pidgin etc.) for Amarok, make listening to music even better

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.

In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.

To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.

Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.

Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.
