<text>If you give presentations even on an irregular basis, Keynote alone is reason enough to get a Mac. There's a chasm of quality and esthetics with all other presentation packages. Software is no substitute for thinking through your presentation, but once you get to writing it out, it is essential.</text>

<text>It's a bit of a shame that twhirl is the best Twitter client out there. It's a testament to the sorry state of the field.

The fact that it's written in the crippled AIR platform makes for a slew of bugs and platform inconsistencies in blocking IO, stupid text selection quirks (like we're used to from Flash) and lots of other bugs.

So I'm an avid but involuntary user.</text>

<text>Already one of the best todo list managers I have used, and it isn't even released yet.

Things helps me quickly get all the stuff out of my brain and filed in the right context and at the correct GTD level.

They are still planning loads of cool functionality like iCal integration. If they also implement a lightweight web interface to your lists and/or an iPhone app, it will be complete.</text>

<description>Mail (aka Mail.app or Apple Mail) is an e-mail program included with Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X operating system. Originally developed by NeXT as NeXTMail, a part of their Nextstep operating system, it was adapted, following Apple's acquisition of NeXT, to become OS X's Mail application. Mail uses the SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols, and supports MobileMe and Exchange via IMAP. Both the iPhone and the iPod touch feature a mobile version of Apple Mail.</description>

<text>I keep elaborate calendars for most aspects of my life and iCal is a great tool to do just that. The Leopard release has really boosted the usability as well with UI improvements and it pretty much seamlessly handles all the crap my coworkers using Outlook throw at me.

Stay away from the todos feature, though. There are better things out there for that.

It would be nice if calendar sharing was as easy as it is with GCalendar.</text>
