• It's free and has an in-page Ad-blocker. There really isn't much better out there.
• It's the best graphic editor on the planet. I have been using the various version of PS for about 9 years and it has become second nature to me. It also doesn't hurt that my college allows its students to get the entire CS4 suite for free.
• It combines all of my IM services into one program and looks good while doing it.
• This program and service has made computer gaming viable to me again. Re-build your computer? Just re-downlaoad the software and your games. No DRM to worry about as long as you keep your account.
• It's a reasonably light (resource-wise) program with excellent synchronization with Google Reader for use on multiple computers.
• The device, the software, and the subscription combine to create a ecosystem that has no good reason to leave once you're a part of it.
• They're ON THE MOOOOON!
