<text>I prefer to use the standalone plug-in for foobar2000, but I may someday make the dive and install Last.fm's full-blown app. I just need to find a way to justify its resource usage first.</text>

<description>Last.fm is an Internet radio station and music recommendation system that merged with sister site Audioscrobbler in August 2005. The system builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste, comprising the songs played on its stations selected via a collaborative filter, or optionally, recorded by a Last.fm plugin installed into its users' music playing application. The profile is visible on a customizable web page, enhanced by limited social networking features, and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favorites. </description>
