<text>I'm always shocked to hear how rarely this application is utilized. I keep all of my contact information here, which now spans hundreds of entities. It's just as quick with 10 contacts inputed as it is with 600. The iPhone sync is flawless and integration with Mail is as easy as can be.</text>

<text>Mail is the speediest email client I have ever used. The search function is fast and useful. Great integration with OSX. Rules that organize your emails are nice, but I wish it occurred server-side - especially with MobileMe. Overall, I love using Mail.</text>

<description>Mail (aka Mail.app or Apple Mail) is an e-mail program included with Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X operating system. Originally developed by NeXT as NeXTMail, a part of their Nextstep operating system, it was adapted, following Apple's acquisition of NeXT, to become OS X's Mail application. Mail uses the SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols, and supports MobileMe and Exchange via IMAP. Both the iPhone and the iPod touch feature a mobile version of Apple Mail.</description>

<text>VMware Fusion is fantastic. BootCamp was just too inconvenient. VMware makes the whole process of running virtual machines incredibly simple. No messy driver installs, just pure virtualization bliss. Also, unity mode is pretty snazzy - definitely something to show off.

I use VMware mostly for Microsoft Access and Internet Explorer which aren't too cpu intensive. If your needs are more for graphics and/or gaming, Boot Camp is probably your most enjoyable option.</text>

<text>I love iTunes. It is the fastest media library manager out there. The ID3 tag manager is useful for keeping your music properly labeled and organized. I always keep the interface on the simple list mode - the other view options significantly lower performance speed. The search bar is crazy quick. I have a ton of music in my library and most of the time I either type in the first few letters of the artist or use the search bar to navigate to what I'm searching for.</text>

<description>Pandora is an automated music recommendation and Internet radio service created by the Music Genome Project. Users enter a song or artist that they enjoy, and the service responds by playing selections that are musically similar. <text>I use Box.net as a collaboration tool. I'm a student at DePaul University in Chicago and use this site for every group project that comes along. The interface is easy to use. I love the drag &amp; drop upload feature. I use the comments feature often provide additional information or instruction alongside uploaded files. I wish the free version supported version tracking (currently it's a pro feature). Overall, Box.net is a great tool for collaboration but there are better tools out there if you're only interested in file sharing (YouSendIt is one).

I'll definitely be trying out Google Wave when it comes out. Hopefully it's a significant improvement to the limited Google Docs webapp.</text>

<text>I've been a avid fan and user of Last.FM for a while now and it has completely altered the way I listen to music and find new artists! The tracking software is completely automated and provides the user with an incredibly sophisticated profiling system that dishes out music based on it's insightful knowledge of your musical tastes. It's fantastic!</text>

<description>Last.fm is a UK-based Internet radio and music community website, founded in 2002. It claims over 21 million active users based in more than 200 countries. On 30 May 2007, CBS Interactive acquired Last.fm for &#163;140m ($280m USD).

Using a music recommendation system called &quot;Audioscrobbler&quot;, Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to, either on the streamed radio stations or on the user's computer or some portable music devices. This information is transferred to Last.fm's database (&quot;scrobbled&quot;) via a plugin installed into the user's music player. The profile data is then displayed on the user's profile page. The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favourites.

Users can create custom radio stations and playlists from any of the audio tracks in Last.fm's music library, and are able to listen to some individual tracks on demand, or download tracks if the rights holder has previously authorised it. Registration is required to acquire a profile but is not necessary to view any part of the site or to listen to radio stations.

Only free in the U.S., Germany and U.K.</description>
