<text>This is a great application that makes the flood that is Twitter much easier to manage. The ability to group people and let those alerts ping you is fantastic. Plus with the new enhancements to allow Facebook tracking makes this a very powerful tool.

BIG COMPLAINT: being built in the Adobe Air system means that you will experience Memory Leaks and this application can crash your system. If you only have a handful of people that you are following (under 200) then you might not see the problem, but when you get near the 1000 mark you will see a significant performance hit.

This is not a problem with TweetDeck, but with the Adobe Air system. If Adobe could get their act together then great developers making great systems could actually have products that excel instead of getting blame that is not theirs to take.</text>

<description>TweetDeck is an Adobe Air desktop application that is currently in public beta. It aims to evolve the existing functionality of Twitter by taking an abundance of information (i.e twitter feeds), and breaking it down into more manageable bite sized pieces. TweetDeck enables users to split their main feed (All Tweets) into topic or group specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. To do this All Tweets are saved to a local database. The far left column will always contain All Tweets. The GROUP, SEARCH and REPLIES buttons then allow the user to make up additional columns populated from the database. Once created these additional columns will automatically update allowing the user to keep track of a twitter threads far easier.</description>

<text>Air is a neat idea, but has a little problems in execution. I like the fact that it is a &quot;cross-platform&quot; but like most &quot;cross-platform&quot; systems there are problems that arise.

Air's main problem comes with the memory leaks that are inherent in Flash/Shockwave. Keepin an application open all day will most surely drain your system resources. Minimizing and maximizing will help a little and clear out some of the memory, but the leak will still remain.

Plus the non-uniformity of UI standards makes a lot of Air applications frustrating to work with on a daily basis. Since there are no &quot;standard control&quot; suites that developers conform to in the Air arena each application gets it's own look and feel, which can be extremely difficult for novice users to navigate.

It is extremely simple to create an Air application and have it out to market ... which is nice. But some of the limitations of the deployment system and development systems should be looked at before choosing if it is the best environment for you.</text>

<description>The Adobe&#174; AIR&#174; runtime enables you to have your favorite web applications with you all the time. Since applications built for Adobe AIR run on your desktop computer without a web browser, they provide all the convenience of a desktop application.

Adobe&#174; AIR&#174; is a cross-operating system runtime that lets developers combine HTML, Ajax, Adobe Flash&#174;, and Adobe Flex&#174; technologies to deploy rich Internet applications (RIAs) on the desktop. AIR allows developers to use familiar tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver&#174; CS3, Flex Builder&#8482; 3, Flash CS3 Professional, or any text editor to build their applications and easily deliver a single application installer that works across operating systems.</description>

<text>With most Microsoft products the later versions get a little more refined and work better. Live One Care is no exception to this rule. The first version 1.0 took up WAY too many resources and didn't run in the background nearly as nice. 2.0 has improved drastically on this.

There is a very low footprint in the background process. However, when the &quot;weekly&quot; maintenance runs I tend to have to ignore my computer during those moments. Though they tend to be quick, I do have to watch my monitor to make sure things are working the best they can.

I also have a slight problem with the booting up of my machine and One Care. It appears that with a lot of system resources being utilized (ie. databsaes, development environments, etc) it always sees an error. Eventually the systems normalizes and it goes back to a green status, but it can be a little nerve wracking when you see it. All in all a good program with very little footprint into your life.</text>

<description>Windows Live OneCare, previously known as Windows OneCare Live and formerly code-named A1, is a computer security service developed by Microsoft for some of its Windows operating systems. It has been announced for termination in favor of a completely free full security suite. It is incompatible with Windows 7 and support is being phased out for Vista. It was initially a subscription service, but could be bought at a store, and had a variegated and not very easy UI. </description>

<text>I have really started to like using mesh to share documents across multiple machines. Not only is the multiple machines a neat little feature, but the included &quot;Remote Desktop&quot; application is pretty hip as well. As long as the Machine is in your &quot;networked devices&quot; you have the ability to Remote Desktop and fix files through applications on other machines. I'm still anxious for the Mobile Device support. You can reach http://www.mesh.com from a mobile device and pull down the documents, but not &quot;sync&quot; them with the servers. It's still in beta, but a really great start. And with 5.1 Gigs of storage you can put a heck of a lot of word docs in there.

Plus I love the fact you can share folders with friends and restrict roles for the people that you share information. A great little service!! And with minimal GUI presence it makes the whole experience feel like an integration than an application. Cool App.</text>

<description>Adobe Fireworks, also known as FW for short, is a bitmap and vector graphics editor. It was originally developed by Macromedia, which Adobe acquired in 2005, and aimed at web designers (with features such as: slices, the ability to add hotspots etc.). It is designed to integrate easily with other former Macromedia products, such as the popular Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash. </description>

<text>When it comes to media organizer I REALLY like using this application. When it comes to tapping into online apps this is really lacking. There is no podcasting, video, mp3 purchasing capabilities ... it just allows you to rip and organize. Plus the ability to choose which music you place on the creative device WITHOUT the application making the decision for you is great. This is a great substitute for iTunes for organization.</text>

<text>For most adventure games there is little to get excited about. The &quot;point and click&quot; genre is getting tired and old, and &quot;Murder in the Abbey&quot; falls a little into this realm. The story is only semi-engaging as you find the correct pixel to click on to solve the puzzles. The graphics are a unique approach to the Adventure genre with it's Direct3D design, but even with the 3d models you are still stuck within a 2d playing field. It's a game that is asking for more, but just doesn't hit it's mark.</text>

<text>Acid Music Studio is a fantastic application for people to create fast tracks and audio recordings with a studio sounds from their homes. It puts the power of a full recording center (with audio effects, post &amp; pre) at the simple finger tips. And utilizing the Drag &amp; Drop features makes the UI very simple to understand and get started. The ability to upload straight to Sony's Music resource is also pretty cool to record your songs and get them to the public with a click of a button. My major problem is that some of the tricks you can do with the application are a little difficult to understand for a starter. Bouncing tracks, Merging and dynamic insertions take a little getting used to, but after you understand how to get them working they are powerful.</text>

<text>Twitter does a great job of handling simple and small posting really well, but it shines in the ingenuity of people who are using twitter in a number of different ways. The ability to tell people &quot; What you are Doing&quot; is only as good as the people who care. But when you start following News feeds (ie. Radio Stations, News Stations, Newspapers, etc) to get information the moment they're posted without having to be active on their web-sites makes instant notification worthwhile. Keep the updating of people all the time is great, and seeing the potential of the medium is really exciting.</text>

<description>Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to publish updates (known as tweets) and read other users' updates (also known as tweets).

Twitter now offers 'lists' which allow you to group your followers and/or non-followers into different lists (public or private), so perhaps subjects include family, friends, co-workers, etc.

This is especially useful if you are following thousands of people, and want to see just a certain amount of peoples' tweets without unfollowing thousands of people, or constantly checking various profiles for new updates.</description>

<text>Recently I've been using a lot of different tools to make my life in the &quot;Social Media&quot; world a little easier. I heard about Digsby and decided that I would try this application. It is FANTASTIC!! As an Aggregate of my IM and Emails it is really great, but the ability to use &quot;Facebook&quot; chat via a client instead of the insipid Facebook web interface is where this tool really shines. The Twitter pop-ups are great and let me be active in the &quot;Social Media&quot; world without having to be active on-line at all times. This is a really great application!</text>
