WordPress continues its morphing from simple blog platform to a full
"Content Management System" (CMS). I think the term is already
over-used, but oh well.
It’s simple to install on your server, and it’s relatively easy to teach
others the basics of it. But, there’s also much more beneath the surface to
delve into.
I don't see why they would make a avatar hosting site that wouldn't be widely
used by the more popular sites like Facebook and Twitter. The only sites I've
seen use it are this site and thebookofbiff.com. Other than that I've never seen
a use for it.
Absolutely great blogging software.
It's usable for approving comments, but it makes a mess of the HTML content in my posts. Also, uploading photos doesn't work. :(

i just like being able to use a rich photo and not have to dumb it down to a png just so the picture will post

An easy way for a code-illiterate writer to become a legitimate blogger. It's both free and intuitive.
Blogging for every one, hosted or served. Huge community and collection of add-in and themes.
