eMule has survived a bunch of other P2P apps and will survive BitTorrent,
too, as it (Kademlia, to be more precise) works completely decentralized and
doesn't need any tracker.
Its file life time and diversity are unbeatable. I don't care about having to
wait for one hour while I don't get the particular file in BT at all!

me back to the earlier part of the decade when p2p was the gold standard. Still,

This program sucks! It doesn't work, it installs adware on my computer and I can't get rid of it!
