Excellent for converting movies to any digital format, except the interface
will easily lose users with vast amounts of options and configurations.
Learning to use it can be a bit trying but delivers solid products.
Although it doesn't support Graphics card computation for the changing of
media formats, SUPER is very much a super program for media works. I myself use
it frequently to change batches of audio files between formats, and it's fairly
quick, fairly painless, and once you get used to its interface, fairly easy to
use. However most beginners will have no idea what they are doing, the learning
curve isn't as high as it looks however, once you do it once, everything will
make sense afterwords, and better yet the best options are often chosen for
you.
really does what it should do. But the GUI isn't that easy-to-use as it's
said above.
And previous versions where a bit unstable. Caused a few blue screens. But
the current version seems to be improved in that point.
All in all a very good converter, maybe even the best for free.
A great little utility that is capable of converting just about any media
file to just about any other media file format. Also allows for resizing of
video files for devices such as an iPod, or BlackBerry.
While I can agree that the download link is very hidden, I think majority of
it is due in part that they only have their ad revenue to support them. After
all Super is FREE, so where else are they going to get some funding?
The pedantics aside, this works out perfectly for what I need. The interface
isn't that hard to get acquainted to, unless you're used to the GUI-for-retards
interfaces where everything is in huge buttons and spelled out for you.
I had very quick learning curve to get associated with it, change settings
for videos and start encoding to my flavor of choice. I switched to this after
using proprietary software for my HD PVR, since it had no support for MOV H.264
and AAC. I'm also encoding from MT2S so there was also more requirements for
myself.
I love that I can change the resolutions to my hearts contents, change around
bitrates, add a [basic] watermark, and a whole bunch of other options that I
rarely ever use.
The encoding is almost 70% faster than the other program I was using.
I can't see myself changing for anything else, especially since MOV is a must
have output for me. Mediacoder had no support for MOV so it was an obvious
choice to skip over it and not care.

It's a really powerful converter that can handle most formats you throw at it, but is severely hampered by its horrible, HORRIBLE interface.
Awesome free file converter, must have!!
doesn't work under WINE :(

I've gotten some encodes that aren't exactly what I set them for but besides that its a good app.
Simplified?
It does the job, but the interface is far too complex!

Отличный конвертер, полностью устраивает.

Powerful is correct, but just like mencoder, the interface takes a lot of time to get used to. Definitely not for the novice or impateient.
Very powerful and not for the impatient.
Lifesaver
too complicated even for me
