An excelent platform to build a collaborative web site. It's up and running
within minutes. Just invite sufficient people and content and maintenance is
magically done by the 'cloud'.
I'm just in the process of setting a wiki up, simply to share the things I
know about computers so that people can read it there instead of asking me. So
far it's very promising, it has the easiest interface out there. Also allows
for HTML source editing, and with a small "workaround" you can use
custom css (include a widget which allows to embed html <style> tags).
I'm using the free service, not a premium, and everything is there except
support for javascript -- I just can't seem to get it working (a simple
hide/show-script). Works fine outside of the wiki, but I can't get the code to
save. Maybe it's a premium feature.
I'm sure that once I really get the hang of this, it'll prove to be a
wonderful timesaver!
I've been using PBWiki for a couple years for a free, private wiki that I can
keep my writing organized in. Very helpful, and easy to use! I'd like the page
to be more configurable but I think that's a premium service. Other than that, I
highly recommend this for getting information on the web fast. Especially good
for those who can't design their own pages.
