I have found Typead to be an excellent platform for serious blogging. It
enables me to still produce a solid volume of output while maintaining a busy
schedule. Don't get me wrong - I am a tweaker and hacker and love running my own
servers - but my life schedule does not always permit. Thus I compromised with a
solution that allows for technical satisfaction while doing most of the heavy
lifting.
It has great integration with Feedburner, Google, Twitter, Amazon, 3rd party
blog authoring tools, many social networking sites and decent statistics.
I find the one major drawback is the lack of a global ping configuration
tool. You still have to ping as a trackback with each post. I work around this
by using Blogo on Mac and Windows Live Writer on Windows - which both support
advanced ping configurations.
It is my hope that they will ultimately enable extended stats and a path for
directly pointing domains to an IP rather than mapping.
All in - I would highly recommend this for the blogger who has a lot of
output but limited sysadmin time.
Hmm.. this isn't right. I don't use the Vox blogging thingy, or any blogging
thing at all, but I do have a program on one of my computers which gives me the
option to send and receive faxes (on the computer) through my Webvox ISDN modem
(something I hardly use anymore)
Vox looks clean and the in-site video and photo embedding is really nifty,
but since there's no such thing as cuts like in Livejournal, long entries
stretches the page too much.
vox is pretty good. good choice of layouts. love that you can keep up with
all the movies, music, and books you read. that is why i hang onto this account.
i don't like the fact that there is little customization in the sidebar and it
is really confusing to navigate to change things.
Most of the interface I have with VOX are entries carried over from other
applications though imbedded links. I find the online interface lack if seamless
interoperability as compared to other blogging and social networking sites does
not inspire me to return. This, combined with its not working with MS
LiveWriter, leaves it in the background with the hope it will improve.

Like it.
Love it!
It works and looks great .
I've never used the TypePad software. Is there something being miss-sent as this software?

I quite like it but there is too many blog sites to set this aside from the rest.
It's good for a new experience of blogging
WTF I've never used this!
