As well as all the other cool desktop effects linu distroc can now offer,
Emeral provides those nice glassy effect bars at the top of windows you have
seen. on ubuntu/gnome it is in the core repo, open synamptic search for emeral
install it, to activate ALT-F2 type emerald --replace check out Gnome-Look under
beryl for some more themes.. remember to add this as a startup app to have it
restart at boot.
Pros: It packs plenty of features. It is free! Very, very customizable.
Options in the UI,themes, features and integration in form of zimlets. I am no
pro- but it seems like the dev team is really working and they are supporting
this product well. If they can perfect it, it might just set the standard as the
email/task/cm//// everything client of the future. I love having options and
more than one way to do things and that is what zimbra delivers.
I Love thunderbird too but have dealt with so many errors and lag up when
launching etc.
The ride with zimbra has been smooth except for one problem I will mention
below.
Cons: It can be a memory hog. If you are too lazy to look for log or check
their faq or wiki you would probably just assume it is bloated like I-tunes
(lol). If you shut down the back end service, this should help. Check their wiki
too for a quick rundown.
Verdict: I would definitely recommend the Zimbra Desktop to most people.
Although it is fairly UI friendly and straight forward to use, people who are
new to pc world or just not smart enough to fix a simple error will probably
think the memory hog error or back end thing is too much. Once they solidly fix
this or just make it more apparent to new users, it will be a solid desktop
email/calendar utility. Then, again if your reading this on wakopa your probably
know what your doing. So, just try it.
Now I always know the time. Unfortunately, adding the weather really violates
the Unix simplicity principle. Fortunately, I can turn it off and pretend it
never happened.
I've marked vlc.exe and gnucash-bin.exe for splitting into appropriate entries some time ago and they still here. :(
wtf? :P
lolwtf?
Good client for Wave.
appears only most of the time the cryptic games crashes. easy to use
xD
From build to build it has the same problem - errors with recoding from windows codepage to UTF-8
Excellent app for privacy storage of all things, secure in your online net life.
I feel like a movie's hacker with it.
Like outlook exchange with more options and not even half the price of exchange. Get David.fx through www.s-bit.nl in the Netherlands
