UltraExplorer is a Windows Explorer replacement that will change the way you think about file management. Other Explorer replacement applications duplicate the same old paradigm introduced by Microsoft in Windows 95. A clumsy Treeview on the left showing folders and a listview on the right that supports various views of the files in a single folder coupled to a dropdown Combobox above.

UltraExplorer takes you to the next level. Yes it can be configured to be just another Explorer clone but it contains new ways of working with your files. The first and most noticeable is the Columns View. This view is a flat view of your files and folder aligned in a linear fashion across the windows. This is similar to the way many Mac file managers have been designed for a long time.

Another feature borrowed from Mac file managers is a Drop Stack. Think of the Drop Stack as a temporary holding place for drag and drop operations. You want to move files from radically different places in the file structure. Simply drag files from various folders to the Drop Stack then navigate to where you want them and drag them from the Stack to the destination folder.

UltraExplorer also supports the typical views of Windows Explorer with a lightning fast Folder Treeview and dropdown Combobox. All views fast and flicker free. The Thumbnail view renders images in a separate thread and maintains its own caching mechanism for fast refreshes.

UltraExplorer also uses threads for retrieving icons, information from slow column in Details view, and enumerating the contents of the Listview controls to ensure the application stays responsive even if Windows is taking its time retrieving information.

UltraExplorer feature list is aimed at making file management and navigation fast and easier then ever before. See the UltraExplorer features page to see what UltraExplorer has to offer.

µTorrent (also microTorrent or uTorrent) is a freeware proprietary BitTorrent client for Microsoft Windows & Mac OS X written in C++, and localized for many different languages. It can also be used under Linux based systems, via Wine. It's designed to use minimal computer resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all. Additionally, the program itself is contained within a single executable less than 220 KB in size - while offering functionality comparable to clients such as Azureus or BitComet.
You can subscribe tracker's feeds and get new torrents via the feed and download them automatically.

"Everything search engine" is a fast folder/file name search engine for Windows.
Unlike Windows search "Everything" initially displays every folder/file on your computer (hence the name "Everything").
You type in a search filter to limit what files and folders are displayed.
It Support Regular Expressions for search and also has an embedded HTTP server for remote Search.

Everything supports only NTFS file systems, this is because it uses the NTFS file systems Master File Table to get raw access to the files list instead of traversing the entire File System hierarchy, this makes it extraordinary fast with respect to indexing.

Adobe Acrobat is a family of application software by Adobe Systems. These applications use Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) as their native file format. Some software in the family is commercial, and some free of charge. Adobe Reader (formerly called Acrobat Reader) is available as a no-charge download from Adobe's web site, and allows the viewing and printing of PDF files. Acrobat and Reader are major components of the Adobe Engagement Platform, and are widely used as a way to present information with a fixed layout similar to a paper publication.

Foobar2000 is a freeware audio player for Windows developed by Peter Pawlowski, a former freelance contractor for Nullsoft.
Featuring a minimalist interface, it also boasts many features for metadata support and high-quality audio output. The theoretical maximum sampling rate and bit depth for audio output are both far in excess of the capacities of even professional-grade audio equipment. To maximize the audio fidelity of consumer-grade equipment, it provides noise shaping and dithering.

It features a number of official and third-party components which add many additional features. While the core is closed source, the author provides an extensive SDK under the BSD license. Since version 0.9, foobar2000 supports Windows 2000 and later releases only.

Features: audio formats supported natively: MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, CDDA, WMA; more audio formats supported through optional components, official or third-party; full unicode support; customizable user interface layout (new in version 0.9.5); advanced tagging capabilities; support for ripping Audio CDs as well as transcoding all supported audio formats using the Converter component; ReplayGain support - both playback and calculation; customizable keyboard shortcuts; open component architecture allowing third-party developers to extend functionality of the player.

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.

In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.

To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.

Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.

Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.

Free Download Manager is a powerful open-source downloading application that has millions of loyal users all over the world. It lets you download files or whole web sites from any remote server via HTTP, HTTPS, FTP and BitTorrent up to 6 times faster, even when downloading from slow sites. FDM accelerates downloads by splitting files into sections and then downloading them simultaneously. As a result download speed increases up to 600%, or even more!

New features include BitTorrent support, built-in upload manager that makes it possible to upload files easily to share them with other people, and the ability to download flash video from video sites, such as Youtube, MySpace videos, Dailymotion, Yahoo, etc. After flash video download is complete, you can convert it to another video format, such as simple AVI, DivX, MPEG4 and more.

The list of FDM features includes integration with the most popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla and FireFox), resuming broken downloads, simultaneous downloading from several mirrors, adjusting traffic usage, enhanced audio/video files support, ZIP files preview, browsing web and FTP folders, and more.

FDM now also offers more flexibility with the new option of remote control (it lets users control FDM remotely, via the Internet). FDM also allows creating a portable version which makes it possible to enjoy the software on every computer without another installation.

Free Download Manager is the first social download manager inspired by Web 2.0 technologies. It protects you from malicious or useless downloads as it lets you read other users opinions about a downloaded file right from the download window. If the file contains spyware or adware, FDM will alert you before the download is started. You can also review any of your downloaded files and inform other users.
