One of my favorite programs and mostly one of the first to be installed when switching to a new pc. Besides animation, I mainly use it for drawing stuff.

Not touched flash for several versions, CS4 (with AS3) runs much nicer, the IDE crashed one me once - Probably worth checking out Flex, or a Free alternative if looking from a coders view. Rather nice from a designers angle though.

Great for tweaking other people's Flash stuff when used in conjunction with a decompiler. I suppose it'd be good for making your own stuff too, for people who are into that.

Expensive, but high quality software, it does what it needs, very good, interface is user friendly and easy to learn how to use, how ever the program itself and it's tools are not, I find that the anti alasing is quite nice with the brush, unpixelating it to make it look like a cleaner finish, I like what adobe did, but I can see that it costs too much for what it is, it should have more features however, which I think would be an excellent addition to the base of the program.

Excellent software but too designer centric - needs more programmer tools e.g. unit testing and debugging and all that jazz that comes with programmer IDEs.
