im testing right now avast! 5.0.188 (beta2) which looks better than current release
I use the free version. Good feature set. Up-to-date definitions. Monitors file access, malicious webware, IM file transfers, and e-mail. Also has an on-demand scanner. I can't say how good it is at removing infections, but seems to be pretty good at preventing them.
