Changelog for version 3.0
More… MoreMozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.
In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.
To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.
Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.
Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.
Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.

SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY
CRASHES A LOT
UGLY INTERFACE
Using the latest beta, it seems like FF has fixed some of the problems that appeared in 3.5. If you had no problems with 3.5, never mind, but I had lots of trouble with 3.5.
firefox is the best web browser in the world
Takes 30 seconds or so to load up, with it packed with it's excellent variety of plugins, but other than that, unbeatable.
You'll notice that IE suddenly released a tab system after Firefox was released.
Although sometimes slow, certainly if you have many addons installed, the best choice as browser. Also the fact that you can use it on different operating systems is a plus.
Great Browser For Great Users
