The primary focus of IMVU is the ability to use personalized 3D avatars and environments that let the user interact with the person they’re chatting with. I only tried it because I try everything. I knew it was going to be bad. I hated second life, and this is like a poor man's second life. My prejudice was justified.
Limitation 10 people in public room 18 is posible at the moment with computers who have enough mememory.

Otherwise it is a verry funny way to chat you have to be carefull not to become addicted i have met a lot of nice new friends.

I made my first IMVU account a few years ago, probably 2 at the most, but with my one-track mind I can’t keep track of time any better than someone who doesn’t have the time near them at all. IMVU is a terrifying place, either you don’t fit in and people don’t talk to you, or they DO talk to you, and that’s when it gets terrifying. Because you see, the general populace of this steaming pile is compromised of horny children, horny adults pretending to be children, halfwits, and halfwits pretending they are smarter/better than everyone else.
There is this little button in the program that you press that puts you in a random conversation. I have found that nothing good EVER comes from this button, and on the rare occasion I actually want to speak to an inhabitant of this terrifying place, I prefer to simply scour the forums in various groups, which occasionally have very good examples of people with a fair sized mind.
My favourite thing about IMVU is making items for people. Because of the general intelligence of most people on this game, I can VERY easily make something that far surpasses the majority of creation made by the creators on the website that just slap together a tshirt out of a picture of a unicorn they found on Google Images and the stolen t-shirt texture of another person’s shirt.
Don’t get me wrong though, I have found some AMAZING things on there. Some of the things people make are amazingly intricate and creative, and sometimes I wonder why they waster their creativity in such a place. For those that actually use IMVU, some of my favourite creators are Lollirot, LittleCricket, PirateFerret, WingedZephyr, Ange, Arachinidia. A few others too, but i guess I can babble about them another time if I want to talk about IMVU a second time."
