Changelog for version 6.0.5.20

More

iTunes is a digital media player application introduced by Apple in 2001 at Macworld Expo in San Francisco for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The program is also an interface to manage the contents on Apple's popular iPod digital media players. Additionally, iTunes can connect to the iTunes Store (provided an internet connection is present) in order to download purchased digital music, music videos, television shows, iPod games, audiobooks, various podcasts, and feature length films.

I use Itunes for all my music and audio library, and while I am a fan, it clearly need work. I TUNES IS LONG IN THE TOOTH and a memory hog. The data base gets sluggish after more than 30 gigs of data stored, and the Genius simply "ain't". NOt to say it'S A BAD IDEA, JUST NEEDS POLISH.

I want to like Itunes, and certainly do not want to ever think about having to move all of this audio/video content to another software. Please make it better Apple!!

Apple really should do something about this app. There is not even one thing I enjoy about using iTunes! I have and iPod touch, and I barely try to sync it because of how user-un-friendly this iTunes is!

I have an iPhone: I have to use this app. It's the least favorite part of owning an iPhone. While it has other uses like sorting my metatags, downloading podcasts or fixing album art, nothing can change the fact that (on Windows) iTunes is a bloated, unstable mess of a program.

Its basic functionality is nice, but it froze whenever I would ctrl+click a checkbox, and heaven forbid I move or rename a folder of music... either I'd have to tell it where each song is individually, or re-add them, lose the statistics, and have to delete the missing ones individually (thankfully there's a workaround for this). Now I use foobar2000 and don't look back.

In combinaton with my iPhone I have no choice but to use iTunes. I don't like the program because :
    - After reinstalling your computer, you need to format your iPhone to make it sync again.
    - The interface is very limited. Few options.

Excellent media management - sometimes feels a little sluggish. Love the iTunes store and seamless integration with iPods & iPhone.

iTunes is simply the BEST media organizer for ANY operating system. Any. You've got iPod syncing, Genius, shuffle, description and info, an iTunes STORE EVEN LOADED INTO THE APP, podcasts, videos, and a gazillion other things. How could anyone possibly condemn such a wonderful, free application?
