New Features:

• AppleScript support.
• SSH session launching with keyboard shortcut support.
• A new command-line tool can be installed in the user’s path and can be used to control activation & deactivation of tunnels.
• Mousing over or selecting tunnels now shows a small endpoint hostname and port tooltip in the corner of the main window.
• Tunnel endpoint hostname, port, and, if available, Bonjour protocol, has been added to the Growl notifications.
• Ability to duplicate tunnels & accounts from the main menu, including keyboard shortcut Command-D.
• Right-clicking a tunnel allows copying of the SSH command used.
• A keyboard shortcut of Command-I has been added for tunnel & account editing.
• The Sparkle software update mechanism has been updated to 1.5 to support better security standards and the optional collection of anonymous system profile info in order to better serve our customers.
• Support for keyboard-interactive authentication (which is different from password-based) was added.
• It is now possible to view the help book in your preferred web browser instead of Apple’s Help Viewer.
• Code signing was added to the application, increasing security and reducing the need to approve Meerkat’s access to existing account keychain items in future versions.

Bug Fixes:

• iTunes Bonjour sharing was tweaked to allow better compatibility with iTunes 8.1.
• A visual transparency glitch in the Tunnel Setup Assistant on Mac OS X 10.4 was corrected.
• Several menu items were updated to more properly follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Tooltips were added for every preference item.
• A 512-pixel version of the license icon is now included.
