The best IM on Linux.
très bon logiciel libre de messagerie instantanée et multi-protocoles ! très bien pour msn malgré qu'il ne gère pas encore les groupes !!
I'm using Pidgin as Yahoo, Google Talk, Live, Twitter and Facebook chat client. It works on Windows and Linux. New version supports voice and video chat. It supports encryption. With plug-in support it is possible to add many useful abilities to Pidgin. What else do you need?
Better than Digsby!
Simple IM Client with all the features we need.
A simple IM client, that has plenty of features and no ads like MSN. Simple, elegant and reliable.
I'm not a heavy IM user but this works a treat. Solid as a rock, very subtle interface. Very extendable.
I don't know what you could need that this doesn't provide.
Like Digsby for Windows, Adum for Mac, Pidgin is for linux.
Pidgin is good multi IM cilent that using in both windows and linux platforms. I don't understand that why pidgin is not ubuntu's default cilent anymore.
If you need ICQ on windows and you need Free this is it. Did you install ICQ and it took over your OS and Browser? Did you uninstall ICQ and ICQ search plugin for FireFox only to reboot and have it reinstall itself? Do you hate ICQ? This is the program to fix all of your problems. Well, it won't remove the ICQ virus but the rest of your problems.
Features I like about Pidgin: ability to have multiple accounts in the same application, support for fun plug-ins, reliability, option to have a spell-checking.
Features I don't like about Pidgin: upload/download of files does not work well, and is usually slow, occasionally the website's link to the download does not work well.
Overall, it's acceptable since I don't send or receive that many files.
