Best IM For linux
Nice IM client both for windows and linux which gives all in one access to all the IMs but it sad that fails behind the proxy and it doesn't have a voice and video support.
I searched for so many alternatives to gtalk when I switched to ubuntu. By chance Pidgin was the first and in fact the last(hehe, I never looked for an alternative) IM client that I found so rich in features. The more I use it, the more I fall in love with it.

très bon logiciel libre de messagerie instantanée et multi-protocoles ! très bien pour msn malgré qu'il ne gère pas encore les groupes !!
I'm using Pidgin as Yahoo, Google Talk, Live, Twitter and Facebook chat client. It works on Windows and Linux. New version supports voice and video chat. It supports encryption. With plug-in support it is possible to add many useful abilities to Pidgin. What else do you need?
