I use it when I have to - for some reason we have Windows Server domain controllers in a Gentoo shop. I could use clipboard merging, but that's really not a great idea in the long run.
When I need to administer an RDP-compatible box from Windows, this is the tool for the job.

The best in it's kind, when you have to remotely maintain windows servers.

Remote Desktop is easy to use, and that is its main focus. Personally, I would like to see more features, like a file transfer manager, but—it just works.
It isn't the most feature filled program out there. It's free, and the performance on top of other similar programs.
Nice and easy to use.
