Great software. I use it for communicating with most of my clients, and any development teams + co-workers. Functionality can't be beat for the price of Free.
Best IM and calling app out there.
I like this software. I can call my friend from America with this one. But, It's so slow.
skypes got some ok features and it performs ok the interface is nasty it needs to be re done and re thunk out imo file sharing can be ober slow like in msn but it has to nice things sending files while appearing offline and being able to send more than one thing at time
good
A useful instant messenger with call and screen sharing functions
Good application but with a private protocol
I'm interested to see what happens in the future with skype, as Google has bought thier closes VoIP competitor Gizmo, however skype does keep its jewels private, its codecs. This i fear may be its demise, however that being said, its a great app, and the paid up services are worth thier weight in gold if you travel a lot and don't want a roaming mobile. and the cross platform functionality is wonderful for a user like me who uses multiple platforms.
Great way to avoid a separate home office wired phone line. The latest version of the interface has some pretty annoying quirks that I really don't expect in such a world class product.
A great messenger. Even better than msn.
