Changelog for version 6.0.6001.17128
More… MoreIt's command used to test whether a particular host is reachable across an IP network. It works by sending ICMP “echo request” packets to the target host and listening for ICMP “echo response” replies. ping estimates the round-trip time, generally in milliseconds, and records any packet loss, and prints a statistical summary when finished.

It's so basic and well in it's function you can't rag on it. I can't say this program has a single weakness, next to having to use it in the Command Prompt, but even then I think a GUI could only complicate it's use. :P
I'm amazed we can actually review ping. What can you say about ping? It's the best tool for network trouble shooting to be found. Of course firewalls affect it, and sometimes it used for things other than what it was meant to do. It's still first on the list of network tools, and won't go away any time soon.
The best network diag tool ever!!!
ping and tracert ftw!
ping rlz xP
I didn't know that ping had that many options! (referring to the screenshot)
PING! :D
We all love ping. Would we be here without it?
Really useful command.
I disagree. It's exciting as hell.
hard to review exactly, but it's just a necessary computer function that does exactly what it needs to do. No frills, nothing exciting. Just pinging.
