More… MoreYahoo! Widgets is a free application platform for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The software was previously called Konfabulator, but after being acquired by computer services company Yahoo! it was rebranded. The name Konfabulator was subsequently reinstated as the name of the underlying rendering engine. The engine uses a JavaScript runtime environment combined with an XML interpreter to run small applications referred to as Widgets, and hence is part of a class of software applications called widget engines.

I prefer it because widgets are visible when I close Internet and they are nice

I prefer these widgets (instead of Google's or Vista's) partly because they are small. But they are not available under Linux. :(
I use a few widgets all the time.. I'm lost without them.

I run it solely for two widgets-- but those two widgets are two that I could not live without.
As for performance, I've never had any trouble with boot speed or bugs.
I like desktop with it :)
The only thing I like from Yahoo. But it can still be annoying sometimes.

Quite useful to me as it has made by desktop much informative place. If u find the right widget for u then its amazing!
