<text>Hi Wakoopa. Your new version alert mapped VLC Media Player correctly only for macosx 10.5 or greater. VLC on Apple branded machines have operating system version dependent releases. The macosx 10.5 uses VLC 1.0.2 [STABLE], 10.4 uses VLC 0.9.10 [STABLE] and lastly, macosx 10.3 uses VLC 0.8.6i [LAST].

The "Web browser plugins kit" version matches except for macosx 10.4 which uses 10.3 kit. The VLC download page is very clear about this but a confused novice may not read everything and just click per your suggestion. Heads Up 'cause you never know when the baseball-in-forehead will happen. Take care, fairuse</text>

<text>I had to edit my review in order to correct an error. Paste original text is 1st paragraph and the correction is 2nd paragraph.

Old post -- Tried the new class of accounts - Category: Movies. Network: Crackle. The movies "The Big Hit" and "The Breed" are movies I have seen a few times therefore creative editing for ads would be noticed. Never got that far; either my machine is not configured to youtube's satisfaction or the New Stuff is still a work in progress. The comment section has a large number of similar problems that I had so my take is - work in progress. Will try again two (2) weeks. It ain't Hulu or Fancast yet at the technical level. Simple not cluttered look is nice.

New information. Switching to a faster computer that has the same software configuration was the solution. The movie (The Big Hit) played fine and was almost the same quality as Hulu. I believe youtube will, if content is expanded, be a good 2nd choice when viewing movie online.

<text>I have used this application for over a year and it has gotten faster and more stable on Tiger [OSX 10.4.11]. Version 1.2.5 is the best release in terms of not crashing at some random time -- it does not crash.

The jPEG thumbnail generator is faster and PDF thumbnails are generated faster which reduces the appearance of stalling. Slides are loaded fast but a folder with 6000 files in the range of 300KB to 3MB will take awhile to process and display the first picture. The number of seconds you stare at a blank screen is processor and RAM dependent so my 800MHz PPC G4 iMac with 512MB of RAM is a little slow. G5 and Intel machines should take only a few seconds whereas my machine takes 10s of seconds.

If you need to breeze through a disk full of images this is the one. On the 'ol 1 to 10 scale it is a 9 -- 10 is reserved for apps that are magic, this app is not far behind that.</text>

<text>DVD2oneX (mac) [DVD2one (win)] is one of those software tools that is as necessary to making a high quality movie backup or edit as a screwdriver set is to hardware. Besides the excellent compression the app can fix a multitude of sins. Some authoring is an assault on the structure of the DVD, this application fixes the damage. The disk burning option is good for anyone who cannot justify Roxio apps.

The Audio Remaster mode may appear too good to be true but it works. It repairs the compression losses in PCM files (AIFF, WAV) the 'Labels' applied for FM radio. It is on all music CD made since way back when unless the artist is the label and threw out range compression. Ok, you will like it.
