<text>I used to resort to Vuze (formerly Azureus) for my BitTorrent needs, but it has lately become more and more bloated with each release. Beside that, Vuze is a good example of how *not* to adhere with the Mac OS X user interface guidelines.

Transmission, on the other hand, features a clean and intuitive user interface, friendly dialogs, Growl notifications support, remote management via its web interface or a command-line interface, flexible bandwidth allocation, DHT support, ... all that with a really small CPU and memory footprint.

The only feature still missing as I'm writing this is the support for magnet links, but the development team has scheduled magnet link support for the next release.

If you're looking for an easy to set up, easy to use, and inobtrusive BitTorrent client, look no further!</text>

<description>Transmission has been built from the ground up to be a lightweight, yet powerful BitTorrent client. Its simple, intuitive interface is designed to integrate tightly with whatever computing environment you choose to use. Transmission strikes a balance between providing useful functionality without feature bloat. Furthermore, it is free for anyone to use or modify.</description>

<text>I really love this app! This is a notification system done just right. For the end user it gives a total flexibility on visual and behavioral settings on a system-wide, per-application, and even per-notification kind level. For the app developer, the API is really robust and the included command-line utility makes it really easy to add Growl notifications to a shell script, and AppleScript, an Automator workflow, ... you name it!</text>

<text>This game breathes some fresh air into the racing genre, by taking away some of the simulation/realism side and putting all efforts on pure raw fun. Expect fast-paced races, opponents that won't hesitate to crash into your car or push you in the scenery, insane jumps, shattered glass, flying car parts, all kinds of scenery destruction, and a lot of adrenaline.

You gotta love a game where you have to send your car into orbit, crash into others, or wreck the scenery to get nitro ;-)</text>

<text>This is by far the simplest and most straightforward IRC client for Mac OS X. It brings allt he power you'd expect from irssi without having to battle through a manual compile-from-source install. Flawless UTF-8 handling, nice shortcuts for multiple network logins, and the Growl notification feature is quite neat too.</text>

<description>Bringing the all the power of Irssi used by millions all over the world and combining it with sorely needed OS X technologies. MacIrssi is the perfect IRC client for your Mac, new or hardcore Irssi users alike.

MacIrssi brings OS X sleep/wake detection, growl integration, vastly improved character set support to OS X along with the usual feature rich functions you are used to having with Irssi (and, of course, it's a universal binary).</description>
