Hi, we're Wakoopa. We're a Dutch company focused on software discovery. People visit our site to keep track of what they use on their desktop and keep up to date on what their friends are using when it comes to applications or games. While doing this we've become a great portal for discovering software and are already tracking about 150 millions hours of software usage. With those numbers you can imagine we're looking for more people to come on board and make sense of it all. Yep, that's where you get to save the day!

  • You love to create simple interfaces and beautiful designs
  • You're a bit of a perfectionist
  • You've got a crush on Photoshop, XHTML, CSS or other design standards... and you think it's mutual
  • You've got a sixth sense for style and form
  • You're somewhat of an all-rounder and know your way around other territories
  • You use a lot of web apps and social networks
  • You read a lot about other peoples work on blogs or in magazines
  • You're (planning to be) based in Holland, preferably in or around Amsterdam

Now, what if you don't meet some of these criteria? Who cares! Amaze us with your response and we'll be happy to take a look. Students looking for internships are always welcome to reply as well.

Here's the things we'll add to your life in return:

  • You'll get to work with some pretty nifty tech, if we say so ourselves.
  • We'll teach you how to create a startup. That means you get a chance to be at meetings with investors, press, partners, and everybody else we stumble across.
  • We'll take you around the world. Since our audience is based in the US, Europe and Asia it's likely you'll be on a plane a few times a year. For a conference you're speaking at or just to meet with other people in the startup world. Whatever helps you become better.
  • There's no "work time". We don't even consider it "work". We just get the job done, perfectly. We'll provide you with a 24" screen and other goodies, plus a great working environment in the centre of Amsterdam. And we'll throw a little BBQ from time to time.
  • A lot of freedom. A lot. We'd like you to think about our product and come up with features or area's we should tackle. Even if it's an open-source project made from Wakoopa-code. And yes, we've heard of the Maker's Schedule too.
