<text>Having used a number of personal task management applications in the past (OmniOutliner, Omnifocus and Things in the past couple of years), I keep going back to a pen and a pad of paper.

The Hit List is the perfect metaphor because it's that pen and paper! I love the index-card metaphor for focusing on one thing, while being able to scribble out lists on a &quot;pad of paper&quot;. It allows me to attach information I want to items (sometimes priority, sometimes start date, sometimes due date, sometimes tags) and doesn't make me attach information I don't want to.

I'm still finding a few rough edges in my workflow for sorting/categorising/ordering lists, but that's my workflow, not a fault of the application.

In short, loving it, much more than I ever liked any other GTD-like app.</text>

<description>The Hit List is marketed as 'a simple, yet sophisticated application to manage the daily chaos of your modern life. Based on the simple concept of making lists, The Hit List lets you plan, forget, then act when the time is right.', and is a task manager for Mac OS X, that is currently in public BETA.

It can be used to create to-do lists, plan projects and time tasks. It synchronizes with iCal. One of the main features of The Hit List is that it can be operated with only the keyboard for the most part, to make task entry easier.</description>

<text>Just built and tried out Chromium for the Mac. It works, mostly, which is awesome progress. And it feels *fast* at rendering pages. I mean, *really* fast. I haven't really played around with anything JS-heavy yet, but I'm betting that will be pretty slick (if not entirely stable, yet) too.</text>
