<text>This is pretty much the best RSS reader that you will ever find yet alone on OS X. Bought it when it was not free and not long after it became free, it is still so great. Check it out yourself. I would love to see a G1 app made.</text>

NetNewsWire is an easy-to-use RSS and Atom newsreader for Mac OS X which syncs with Google Reader. Its familiar three-paned interface -- similar to Apple Mail -- can fetch and display news from thousands of different websites and weblogs, making it quick and easy to keep up with the latest news. It has a free ad-supported and a premium ad-free version. Features include:

* A tabbed browser lets you read web pages with the convenience of staying in the same window.
* Search your news items with a standard Apple search widget -- as in Mail and other applications.
* Downloads podcasts and enclosures, and sends podcasts to iTunes with with your choice of genre and playlist.
* The flagged items feature lets you mark items that you want to keep -- they stay forever or until you mark them as unflagged.
* Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) compatible, and includes Automator actions to control functions in NetNewsWire.
* Other features include syncing, smart lists, search subscriptions, built-in styles, and AppleScript support.
Includes a built-in categorized list of feeds that can be easily subscribed to.

<text>This is probably one of the best Twitter apps you will find for OS X. Been using it forever, I have tried other apps for OS X but none of it compares to the great feel that Twitterrific offers yet among the features and such.</text>

Twitterrific is a fun little application that lets you both read and publish posts or "tweets" to the Twitter service. The application's user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac's desktop.
