Xcode is Apple's suite of tools for developing software on Mac OS X. Is bundled free with Mac OS X, though is not installed by default. The latest version is always available for free from Apple Developer Connection.
The main application of the suite is the integrated development environment (IDE), also named Xcode. The Xcode suite also includes most of Apple's developer documentation, and Interface Builder, an application used to construct graphical interfaces.
The Xcode suite includes the free software GNU Compiler Collection (GCC), and can compile C, C++, Objective-C, Objective-C++, Java, and AppleScript, source code with a variety of programming models, including but not limited to Cocoa, Carbon, and Java. Third parties have added support for GNU Pascal,[2] Free Pascal[3], Ada[4] and Perl[5]. The Xcode suite uses GDB as the back-end for its debugger.

Mail (aka Mail.app or Apple Mail) is an e-mail program included with Apple Inc.'s Mac OS X operating system. Originally developed by NeXT as NeXTMail, a part of their Nextstep operating system, it was adapted, following Apple's acquisition of NeXT, to become OS X's Mail application. Mail uses the SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols, and supports MobileMe and Exchange via IMAP. Both the iPhone and the iPod touch feature a mobile version of Apple Mail.

<text>Have been using OpenOffice 3 for a while and only recently decided to download the free trial of iWork '09. Friends of mine have iWork '08 and I was pretty annoyed to find that I have to save to a different format compatible with the previous version so that my friends could open my documents. Other than that I like what I have seen so far but at the end of the day OpenOffice is free!</text>

<text>I have been using FileZilla for a long time mainly because we use it at work and I am familiar with it. However, a friend introduced me to Cyberduck and I am overly impressed with how quick and easy it is to use. Without knocking FileZilla more than 50% of my FTP'ing activity is just the odd couple of files here and there and Cyberduck allows me to do this so much faster.</text>

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.

In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.

To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.

Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.

Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.
