<text>Only recently discovered this on an old episode of Category5TV. Amazing backup tool, that can run portable or as a service and allows incremental timestamped backups. Great for user data, so you can always go back to an older version of a document.</text>

NetAnts allows you to easily perform batch downloads from the Internet, either totally unattended, or while you're surfing with your favorite web browser. To select which files to download, you can manually add file names to the queue, activate a clipboard monitor that automatically grabs the file names that you've copied, or let NetAnts capture clicks from your browser. You can even create a "drop basket" on your desktop, and drag and drop files from your Web browser.

Moreover, it offers numerous valuable options to users:
HTTP/FTP multithread downloading with resuming capability
Flexible batch job methods to download multiple files
Superior browser integration
HTTP/FTP/SOCKS proxy management
Automatic categorization of downloaded files
Automatic or manual traffic control
Automation and scheduling functionality
Ability to fix corrupt ZIP archives
Multi-language support, more than two dozen languages available now

Until I wanted more, the ability to edit custom ID3 tags and all with the press of a hotkey thus allowing me to have embedded ratings and multiple genres allowing for customized playlists very specific to what I want to listen to at the time.
Foobar2000 is a freeware audio player for Windows developed by Peter Pawlowski, a former freelance contractor for Nullsoft.
Featuring a minimalist interface, it also boasts many features for metadata support and high-quality audio output. The theoretical maximum sampling rate and bit depth for audio output are both far in excess of the capacities of even professional-grade audio equipment. To maximize the audio fidelity of consumer-grade equipment, it provides noise shaping and dithering.

It features a number of official and third-party components which add many additional features. While the core is closed source, the author provides an extensive SDK under the BSD license. Since version 0.9, foobar2000 supports Windows 2000 and later releases only.

Features: audio formats supported natively: MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, CDDA, WMA; more audio formats supported through optional components, official or third-party; full unicode support; customizable user interface layout (new in version 0.9.5); advanced tagging capabilities; support for ripping Audio CDs as well as transcoding all supported audio formats using the Converter component; ReplayGain support - both playback and calculation; customizable keyboard shortcuts; open component architecture allowing third-party developers to extend functionality of the player.

TagScanner is a multifunction program to organize large music collections. It can edit tags of mostly state-of-the-art audio formats, rename files based on the tag information, generate tag information from filenames, and perform any transformations of the text from tags and filenames. Also you may get album info via internet music database freedb.org.

<text>Great tool that does many different things, but I primarily use it for semi-transparent start menu and taskbar, a larger font, bold, Arial system clock (easier to read) that shows seconds (helps when the screen freezes for a couple of seconds).

Additionally I use its Timer functionality, to play an mp3 looping after x number of minutes, great when foods in the oven or the washings on and is very accessible.

It's assign functions to drag event is also very useful to me as I have it sending dragged files to another program's command line parameters parameters to do various things.</text>

Tclock2 is a taskbar clock for Windows. It is an extremely simple program and takes up practically no memory. It is freeware - public domain, in fact - and contains no spyware. You can use it to:

- change the clock's text, appearance, etc.
- change the the taskbar (make it flat, etc.)
- make the taskbar transparent
- change the Start button
- change the Start menu
- change the appearance of the desktop icons (somewhat glitchy)
- synchronize your clock
- set alarms
- assign functions to the clock (drag file to clock = open in Notepad, etc.)
