Bio:	Paul E. Oppenheimer is a philosopher and independent scholar living in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. He is a virtual member of the Metaphysics Research Lab at Stanford University and a Document Editor for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Together with Branden Fitelson of the University of California at Berkeley and Edward N. Zalta of Stanford University, Paul is involved in defining and founding a new approach to philosophical research that we are calling "Computational Metaphysics". Computational Metaphysics is, in brief, the application of automated reasoning systems to research in axiomatic and formal metaphysics. We code up formal proofs in axiomatic systems of metaphysics as sufficiently precise input for automated reasoning systems. We also write about limitations of existing automated reasoning systems. We share our results on our Computational Metaphysics website, as well as in the refereed logic, computation, and philosophy journals. Paul E. Oppenheimer also works for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, an authoritative, refereed, continually updated and quarterly archived open access online encyclopedia of the entire field of philosophy.
