<text>I've used Steam since it was a mandatory install to play Half-Life 2, and I was rather frustrated about this. Steam, at the time, seemed like another piece of crapware I need to run so Mr Moneybags can make sure I'm not getting something for nothing. Over the years I have grown to like it however. It's infinitely convenient to just buy the game through steam, download, and play as opposed to buying in a store and hoping to god the game takes my key and the disc doesn't get scratched, thus rendering the game unplayable. Also, I can go to another computer and play my games on it by logging in and downloading the game there. Simply, Valve has gone to great lengths to make the platform fool-proof. As long as you have internet access and your login info, you're set. There are still issues however, and I worry they may never be corrected. I have occasional hang-up when Steam starts, with Windows or otherwise, and the interface is still as stagnant and dull as it was when it was released years ago.</text>

<text>I'll just say now that I hate Steve Jobs with all my soul. That being said, iTunes 8 has done a fair job of fixing problems I've had with iTunes since its creation. It's &quot;clean&quot; interface still puzzles me, even moreso now that importing settings have been moved among other things, and iTunes download settings have been removed completely (It's nice to be able to download a HD movie, but I'd like a lower quality version when my hard drive is nearly full). I've yet to play around with Genius, since I'm now converting my library of nearly 8000 songs from wma just for itunes (another point; GIVE ME SOME PLUGINS DAMMIT!) And while it certainly does things better than any other free media player, it takes more resources to do so, making it a mixed blessing. The music library is much more intuitive than the previous &quot;everything crowded into one hard to read list of songs&quot; setup, and for that reason and all iTunes Store's music now being DRM-free (about damn time) I will be moving my music into this program, until I can find something to entice me away.</text>

<description>Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite, managed by the Mozilla Corporation. Firefox had 24.07% of the recorded usage share of web browsers as of October 2009, making it the second-most popular browser worldwide, after Internet Explorer, which is the factory default browser on all Windows computers.

In 5 months, Firefox has gathered steam and now owns more than 25% of usage share of web browsers closing the gap between it and IE.

To display web pages, Firefox uses the Gecko layout engine, which implements some current web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.

Firefox includes tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers, the most popular of which include Adblock Plus, Video DownloadHelper, NoScript, Personas, FlashGot, and Greasemonkey, along with many others.

Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows (version 3.5 supports Windows Vista and XP; although not officially supported as of November 2009, Firefox is compatible with Windows 7), Mac OS X (10.4 or later officially supported), most Linux distributions, and many other Unix-like operating systems.

Its current stable release branch is version 3.5, first released on June 30th, 2009. Firefox's source code is free software, released under a tri-license of GPL/LGPL/MPL.</description>
