<text>This is a great concept; It is a way to install (X)Ubuntu on your existing partition (without wiping your existing hard drive partitions). It makes is exceeding simple to install linux (Ubuntu).

The other comments about this not being linux are just plain wrong; A full Ubuntu installation is done, and Ubuntu is a Debian distribution which *is* Linux. This installer simply creates a file to store all the linux stuff much as you might re-partition your drive. It does all this, and sets up the boot loader (to load the loopback filesystem) so you can multiboot into linux easily. There are even tools to take this linux installation (all contained in a single file) and move it to real disk partitions. The real downside of all this is disk performance; But that *may* not be a practical issue for people.</text>

Photosynth is a software from Microsoft Live Labs and the University of Washington that analyzes digital photographs to build a three-dimensional point cloud of a photographed object. Pattern recognition components compare portions of images to create points, which are then compared to convert the image into a model. Users are able to view and generate their own models using a software tool available for download at the Photosynth website.

A Windows GUI for OpenVPN (http://openvpn.net).

OpenVPN is normally run in a console window, which can be a little annoying to have lying on the taskbar all the time. OpenVPN GUI lets you run OpenVPN without this console window. Instead you get an icon in the notification area (the area on the right side of the taskbar) from which you can control OpenVPN to start/stop your VPN tunnels, view the log, change your password and other useful things.

OpenVPN GUI is an Open Source project and is licensed under the GPL.

xplorer² is what windows explorer should have been. Unlike explorer, xplorer² allows you to browse more than one folder at a time, using tabs and dual panes. Sorting out and copying files becomes a breeze. You can navigate your shell namespace quickly using favorites, clickable paths (breadcrumbs), easy access to root folders, a tree and a bookmark pane etc. You can even save and restore folder groups whenever your workflow deems necessary.

xplorer² browsing model scales up well to large folders with thousands of files. It reads fast, offers visual filters and a variety of selection mechanisms that allow you to manage your files effectively.
