This is your keychain on steroids. If, like me, you have dozens of login
identities and passwords to remember then 1password is the answer. I maintain
dozens of online accounts (one set for personal stuff, one set for business
stuff) and 1password allows me to organise them into multiple, nested folders
for easy recall. Not only that, when on a site it offers the correct logins for
that site. When not on a site you can use the 'Go to & Login' option to
immediately open a site and login using the correct credentials.
1Password allow me to use string passwords. I know the passwords to perhap
three of my accounts. All the other are gibberish that 1password looks
after.
1Password also holds various profiles so that I can fill forms in
automatically with whatever information I want.
AND, I use the iPhone version too. This synchronises with my Mac, acting as a
backup but also allowing me to access my accounts when away from the Mac (Okay,
I ahve to look up the password, but that's better than having weak
passwords).
Obviously, securing the 1Password data is vital, so I have one complex (but
for me easy to recall) password that protects all the others. Phew!
So, that's some of 1password. Do yourself a favour and get it.
Sure, you can use Apple's Keychain to store all of your online passwords but
why? 1Password allows you to not only manage all of you online accounts and auto
fill forms but you can store all of your wallet information including bank
account numbers and DL number all securely. If you have an iPhone you can
wireless sync that information so you always have it on the go. The interface
gets the job done however the 3.0 upgrade around the corner will probably drive
it to a 4 star rating instead of 3. If you need a place to save all that
disparate information 1Password is probably the right fit.
This is essentially a replacement for Apple's Keychain but it also much more
than that. For someone like me who has 50 million online accounts and signs up
for every web 2.0 service, this is a must have program.
Great way to store those online passwords and credit card information. It
just works well, it's hard to explain. Browser integration is awesome which
makes it a breeze to use as it just fits naturally into the workflow.
I like the password generator, but I don't know how to deal with the default keychain tool after installed this
First thing that should be installed on a mac.
Get it!

By far the best password manager for the Mac, if only they made an interface with windows...

Great program, supported the makers by buying a legal license for it. Syncing of all the passwords with my iMac/Macbook/iPhone.
i cant live without it....

This is the best out there. I love the iPhone app as well!

I like this app. It's like the Windows version of RoboForm. Easy to use and configure.
