Free, Fast, Portable unzips pretty much all formats. Only point of improvement would be if could unpack all of the installer formats. Not a big deal but it would make 7zip perfect.

A Very Well Designed Application. Just wish it would unpack those installer EXEs, not really a compliant, but that feature would make 7zip near perfect!

7-Zip is the most stable compression utility for MS Windows I've ever used. Highly recommended.

Good stuff, I don't see a reason to switch to any commercial tool. I love the flexibility of the context menu items.

This is the best open-source compression software I have found. It has support for a large number of formats and is very user-friendly. The one problem I have with it is that it seems to be less reliable than WinRAR for RAR archives. There are some archives which 7zip will not open at all that open with no problem in WinRAR. If the developers could remedy this I would never use anything else.
