Strong on audio [so good for DJs][though not my favourite for midi] Ableton
Live is an excellent DAW. Great interface, very intuitive, and always
innovative.
This is my favorite music recording software for both digital audio and
MIDI-based projects. I've used Sonar, Fruityloops, Project 5 and a number of
others but Ableton Live feels the most natural and easy to me. The Session View
is great for working out ideas and the Arrangement View can easily work just
like a simple N-Track recorder. The interface is clean and smooth and
non-distracting. It's also a cross-platform application and you can register it
on up to two machines. And the LivePacks makes it easy to transfer a project
from one machine to another.
The best audio app i use, and i use a lot. If you can afford it, even if you
don't prefer this type of work-flow, it's worth your time to adjust to it
because Live is amazing.
I've been using Live since 1.0 and it's an exceptional tool for many aspects of music, from composing and recording to performance.
Ableton is the best music program out there by far.
Music is not the same since Live exist.
Best music app ever.
