Malware remover
Why take me to cnet's download.com when I clicked the download button above? A commercial arrangement between Wakoopa & CNet?
This should probably be merged with the entry for Ad-Aware.
According to my experience, it doesn't detect much more than suspect cookies..
NOTE: I have a commercial ESET Smart Security instance running all the time in background, and I feel ESET is already doing a very good job protecting my system - therefore my opinion on Ad-ware might be biaised...

Ever since installing Firefox way back, the only thing it finds spyware-related is suspected cookies.
best free antispyware which removes tracking cookies, spybot dont :D
Still my best choice. Deactivated Windows-Defender. AVG and Ad-Aware does the job perfectly. No background tasks, if not wanted. Scans at will. AVG does the monitoring.
